Treatment of premature ejaculation

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CORRECT PREMATURE EJACULATION?

Advances have been made in more precise and specific treatments for this type of diagnosis.

In addition to a timely evaluation by the psychology clinic and its corresponding psychotherapeutic procedure, it is suggested that an additional evaluation by a urologist be prudent for this condition, in order to rule out underlying organic problems.

Some exercises are recommended with which you can learn to control premature ejaculation, and that you can practice alone at home during masturbation, but, when you have mastered their technique, you should ask your partner, so that they can support you in use them during any sexual activity and complete the expected results.

RECOMMENDATIONS TO CONTROL EJACULATION LONGER THAN USUALLY.

On average, without counting the preliminary minutes, the duration of an intimate activity can be between 5 to 6 minutes, however, there are a large number of men who have reported wanting to be able to reach 13 minutes or more.

To do this, there are different exercises that would make it easier for you to control your ejaculation regardless of whether it is premature or not, these exercises include breathing, mutual stimulation when you are with your partner and during your masturbation.

As a preamble, I will mention Kegel exercises or contraction exercises for the pubococcygeus muscle, which is located on the pelvic floor and forms, together with the ileococcygeal and puborectalis bundles, the levator ani muscle.

These Kegel exercises are recommended to men for their benefits in strengthening the pelvic muscles and to avoid common disorders such as bladder incontinence. Likewise, they prevent prostate problems or benign prostatic hyperplasia, they also allow to improve sexual relations, since they contribute to delay the time for ejaculation during intercourse.

HOW SHOULD KEGEL EXERCISES BE DONE IN MEN?

Before you start your training, it is necessary to take the time to learn how to perform these exercises correctly.

First of all, you must know the correct pubococcygeus muscles to exercise, that is, identify and locate the muscles involved. A part of this musculature is the one that allows to control the urine and it is easy to locate it just by cutting off the urination of urine. The second group of muscles involved are those that help retain gas.

That is, it is enough to stop the stream of urine for a moment and at the same time contract the muscles, specifically around the anus that prevent the release of gases, but without using the abdominal muscles.

Never make the mistake of pressing down or tightening your pelvic floor, as if you were having a bowel movement, as this can increase abdominal pressure and risk wasting your pelvic floor muscles.

To get the most out of each workout, maintain a routine that includes exercises with small contractions and relaxations, lying down, sitting in the office or elsewhere, as well as stronger contractions for a longer time, in this case, you have to be very moderate so as not to create fatigue or pain by using the muscles in excess.

If you do not feel able to perform this technique, seek a sexual therapist to guide you and follow up on your Kegel exercise routine, this would allow you to complete the appropriate number and combination of contractions in each session.

All exercises require perseverance and dedication to obtain satisfactory results, therefore, you must establish a regular schedule to do them. If possible, just take 5 minutes for yourself each day.

As a first exercise, contract the muscles that allow you to control your urine and slowly count to 5, then relax and contract again. Repeat this with a series of 10 or 15 times.

As a second exercise, contract the muscles that help you hold gas as you slowly count to 5,  relax and contract again. So you should do it, between 10 or 15 times.

It generally takes about 12 weeks to start noticing substantial changes.

HOW CAN KEGEL EXERCISES HELP DURING SEXUAL ACTIVITY?

Training with Kegel exercises makes it possible to delay ejaculation and even have more intense orgasms.

In the case of masturbation, when you feel that you are close to ejaculation, you must take a moment to stop stimulating your penis, you will immediately perform a Kegel contraction holding you and until you feel that your desire to ejaculate has passed, later, you will resume the stimulation of your penis and again, in a sequence of 3 times of successfully holding off ejaculation,  en you will be able to allow yourself to pleasure yourself with an ejaculation.

Logically, at the beginning it may happen that you do not interrupt your ejaculation in time, however, you will overcome this by trying repeatedly until you discover the moment in which you have to stop a little earlier.

During sexual intercourse with your partner, it is necessary that when you feel that you are going to ejaculate, you separate from her and completely stop any type of stimulation while doing a Kegel contraction, this will help you control the desire to finish. Once you are relaxed resume sexual activity. For this, your partner is expected to collaborate in achieving the benefits of using this technique.
